BSC-100PLUS Inter-Club Swimming 2005

In 2005, Brunei Swimming Club in association with F&N Coca-Cola (Brunei) Sdn Bhd proudly presented the first BSC-100PLUS Inter-Club Swimming Championship. This championships is opened to all swimming clubs in Borneo. Swimming events will be swum in four age groups. The winning club will be decided by medal tally.

As part of BSC's annual community service project, this event is aimed at developing the competitive potential of the sport by providing upcoming swimmers with the opportunity to compete, and build a platform for selection in overseas competition. Also through this, BSC hopes to refresh local technical officialing skills in anticipation of hosting international swimming competitions at home. The event is supported by the Brunei Amateur Swimming Association and Department of Youth and Sports in the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The competition was held on Sunday, 1st May 2005, at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex Swimming Pool. The day commenced at 8.00 a.m. and finished at 6.30 p.m. There were five teams registered, namely Brunei Swimming Club, Dolphins Swimming Club, Hammerheads Swimming Club, Mabohai Club and Stingray Swimming Club.

After a competitive day, it was Stingray SC, managed by Bohrem and coached by Hj Yusof, that take away the champions trophy. The runners-up was Mabohai Club, who is coached by Victor. In third is Dolphins SC coached by Harjimmy.
